Beautiful long bay beach is a two mile long white sandy beach on the atlantic ocean looking to the north and east side of Green Turtle Cay Abaco Bahamas.
Green turtle cay has been one of the best kept secrets in the carribean for years with all that it has to offer, pristine beachs world class fishing diving and boating located on the bahamas bank the town of New PLymouth has been inhabited and prospering for over 250 years, currently there are 450 permanent residents plus foreign homeowners that have second homes on our island. Three well stocked grocery stores, two hardware stores gift shops resturants, golf cart, boat, and bike rentals, we have a world class dive shop and two larger hotels with all the amenities, no fast food joints or discos or chain stores, video parlors, just fun and sun and clean air and nature.
Black sound is an inland harbor just off the sea of abaco, there are marinas and rental units up and down the sound, this is were most folks build their docks and keep their private boats or use them with rentals, there are not many pieces on the island that go from sea to sea so this is an opportunity for someone that is interested in having the best of all worlds.
My wife and myself have lived for the last 17 years on GTC as full time residents and due to health concerns have had to down size our ownership, we have sold off one set of docks and dock cottage and two beach front cottages and we are selling off the last two pieces that are not developed between the long bay cottages and long bay house on the ocean side and a parcel on black sound that has never been developed, both pieces have current surveys and have been cleaned and cut ready for building. 150 miles east of West Palm Beach. It is a small picturesque Island, only 3 miles long and approximately 1 mile wide at its widest point. Approximate population is 500.

Green Turtle Cay is in the upper half of the chain of islets called The Abaco’s. This small but delightful Island has much to offer, White sandy beaches, crystal clear water along with inner and outer reefs and coral gardens, making for great fishing, scuba-diving, and snorkeling. Shelling on the beaches at low tide, is among the best. New Plymouth is an historic and friendly 250 year old Community, offering a wonderful family atmosphere, it is clean, virtually crime free and home to it's hard working and gracious residents.

We can also arrange for you to hire a guide that will take you out diving or fishing and afterwards include a picnic on an uninhabited island, to make your stay a memorable and enjoyable one.

There are several choices for dining out, from local cuisine, to more elegant gourmet dining (Island style). All is casual attire. Make sure you try the homemade bread and pies (baked by local vendors). None are better, and they’re made fresh daily.

There are also three grocery stores to accommodate your needs for food and supplies, including a liquor store along with several small quaint shops for your souvenirs and gifts. After a day of relaxing, you may feel the need for entertainment. You have your choice of local bars or clubs, in which you may find some interesting conversation. Who knows, you may even try the native dance of Raggae, when the band is playing.

Even a novice is comfortable in a very short period of time because of the ease of reading the waters off Long Bay House on Green Turtle Cay. The waters off of Green Turtle Cay are some of the prettiest you will ever see. The Cay has an array of reefs that run parrallel to the entire length of the island. In many places there are inner, middle and outer reefs, all within less than a mile from the house.
