overlooking 3,000+ feet of sandy beaches, 300' of which are part of the grounds of  this comfortable and historic home nestled among coconut palms where the sound of the Atlantic Ocean is your constant companion.  Long Bay Property is a 3 acre tropical estate directly on the beach.  Long Bay House and Long Bay Cottage each has its own entrance and beach access.  Long Bay House was built by Captain Stephen Cliff and his wife, Shelagh, in 1949.  Captain Cliff was Winston Churchill's pilot during World War II and acquired this property through a land grant from the Queen of England.  He built Long Bay House on this prime location of Long Bay Beach.  

Located 180 miles due east of West Palm Beach, on Green Turtle Cay, Abaco, Long Bay House and Cottage sit on the highest point of land overlooking Long Bay Beach, rated one of the top ten most beautiful beaches in the Bahamas, with pure white sand and turquoise water perfect for swimming, snorkeling, sun bathing and relaxing.  Long Bay House and Cottage are only feet away from Black Sound and its many marinas.

From the observation tower, the Atlantic Ocean and Pelican Cay are visible to the east, Black Sound is visible to the southwest as well as most of the southern part of Green Turtle Cay.  Walk along the long, secluded white sand beach or explore the Island with rental bikes or a golf cart. There are many companies that provide services to fish, dive, or snorkel with a local dive master or fishing guide. You can rent larger boats or go on tours with Captains or guides to other Islands.

While Green Turtle Cay has many things to offer, you may also choose to explore the uninhabited cays that surround Green Turtle Cay.  With secluded beaches and harbors, they are ideal for shelling or a quiet picnic.
